We would like to congratulate Lee C. Hawley for becoming the new High Point Bar Association President. Since passing the NC Bar Exam in 2007, Lee has devoted his entire practice to the area of Family Law. In 2013 he was certified by the NC State Bar Board of Legal Specialization as a "Board Certified Specialist" in the area of Family Law. Over the next twelve (12+) years of experience in the family law area he has developed a thriving litigation practice spanning a number of NC Judicial Districts. The High Point Bar Association has awarded a total of $20,000 to eight local non-profit agencies and organizations. This is the fifth year of community giving by the High Point Bar Association. The name of the committee within the HPBA, though, has recently been amended to the High Point Bar Association’s Mittie Smith Charitable Contributions Committee. Thus, we honor our founding member who seized the initiative to create this committee; thereby embodying her, and our, commitment to give back to the community we serve.
